In response to climate change, global climate finance flows towards the water sector, especially for adaptation are increasing, but remains susceptible to corruption. Both corruption and climate change affect the most vulnerable disproportionately. However, if preventive measures and readiness support are thoroughly integrated, climate finance can provide a window of opportunity to safeguard development funds.
