A Freight Farm can grow 2.5 acres of food hydroponically within a Shipping Container anywhere in the World. By precision control of the environment consumers have access to a range of fresh, clean local produce through a network of global growers - all contributing to a resilient supply chain and new opportunities for communities and institutions.
#tedxstgeorge #tedxtalk James Woolard is CMO of Freight Farms I am focused on scaling the adoption of products and technology the world needs – a hydroponic farm in a freight container that can access any part of the world through a connected community of hyper-local growers. I oversee Marketing and Sales.
Prior to this I worked for the adidas group, leading Reebok in Northern Europe and then moving to Boston as Head of Marketing for the Running and Style Business Units. I began my career at L’Oreal where I worked in Product Marketing within the consumer division before moving to Virgin Media to lead acquisition marketing.
Originally from London, UK I achieved an MA in Modern History from Oxford University.
Outside of work I try to leave an active lifestyle and regularly compete in Triathlons. [ Ссылка ] This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at [ Ссылка ]
