Acting Opposition leader Sussan Ley says the Voice to Parliament will not help close the gap.

“I've seen many different approaches to Indigenous policy makings over the years, and I would say they’ve all been well-intentioned, but this is difficult, it's complexed, it has to bring everyone with it,” she told Sky News Australia.

“We have not had the explanation that we deserve about how it will work to close the gap.

“In fact, we don’t believe it will because of the way it's been designed, the little that we do know actually doesn't give us that information.”
