My Kenwood dishwasher KID 60S17 was not draining occasionally and showing the F2 code. By the way, did you know that after starting a circle you can press the programme selection button for 5 seconds and it just starts to drain the washing machine. I tried that many times - started the dishwashing cycle, waited for the dishwasher to fill up with water then open it to start draining.
I disconnected the drawing hose from the waste pipe under the sink and tried to blow and suck and it seemed to be somehow blocked - you can hear it in the video. I disconnected the drain hose at the drain pump end and discovered a small non-return flap valve was well worn. You can see its location in the video. The drain motor seemed to be ok.
In order to access that small black rubber valve, you need to disconnect the hose by undoing the hose clamp. It is a tricky "single ear stepless hose clamp". It is a very straightforward replacement of the rubber flap valve, sorry forgot to video that.
It is quite tricky to put the clamp back on, you need that clamp tool or large pliers/snippers. I guess it can be replaced with an easier clamp that you tighten with a screwdriver. The rubber valve costs £5 on espares.co.uk part number ES1749854. I ordered the £30 drain pump as well but the dishwasher has had no draining issues for a couple of weeks now so I guess I'll just return it.
