Introduced the principles of portfolio management and also provides some examples from recent case studies experienced in delivering a transformation portfolio.

It covered the key principles and approaches with the associated benefits of adopting portfolio management approach to help achieve an organisations objectives and strategic outcomes.

The approach outlined is in line with the APM Body of Knowledge 7th edition and the recently published Portfolio Management – A practical guide that was written by APM Portfolio Management Specific Interest Group.

Case study examples from members of the Specific Interest Group help bring to life some of the challenges encountered in both the introduction and ongoing management of portfolios.
