At a time when Australia is in a deep recession, Annastacia Palaszczuk appears to have now "gone mad” and locked out people from Greater Sydney from entering Queensland says Sky News host Alan Jones.
All Greater Sydney residents will be banned from entering Queensland from 1 AM on Saturday.
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced the decision on Wednesday as she added Greater Sydney - encompassing 34 local government areas - to the list of declared coronavirus hotspots.
Another 19 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in New South Wales on Wednesday after a cluster emerged in Sydney's east.
“The reality is, in all of Australia we have 46 serious cases,” Mr Jones said.
“Are we going to shut down everything every time there is a positive test”.
“As I have said many times, in all of these things we are never told how many of these so-called positive cases are mild and how many are critical”.
