(4 Sep 2013) GIANNI AMELIO PREMIRES "THE INTREPID" AT THE VENICE FILM FESTIVAL
Fans gathered along the red carpet in Venice on Wednesday (4 SEPT. 2013) to give their support to the popular Italian actor, Antonio Albanese and the award-winning director Gianni Amelio, promoting "The Intrepid." The film also starred two young newcomers, Livia Rossi and Gabriele Rendina.
In the film, Albanese plays a man who works as "a temp" in Milan, covering for other people when they can't make it to work. Temp work in Italy is a new concept. One day he is a chef, another he drives a tram, another he is a construction worker and another he delivers pizzas. Every day it is something new and the hero always throws himself into his job with energy and enthusiasm.
"The Intrepid" is among the 20 films competing in for the coveted Golden Lion prize in the Venice Film Festival.
