Operation Basics: See step-by-step instructions for turning on the device, activating its skimming function, and understanding its indicator lights, as well as solar charging.

Real-World Test: Skimming an 18-foot above-ground pool during the end of the season, dealing with real debris like leaves and cottonwood fuzz.

Emptying the Debris Basket: Remove, clean, and reassemble the debris basket for continuous use.

Step-by-Step Guide to Operating the Surfer S1

Powering On: Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds until the device beeps.

Tip: The solid blue light indicates it’s receiving solar power, while a yellow light signals a low battery.

Start Skimming: Place the skimmer in the pool and press the play button to activate its propellers.

Skimming in Action: Watch the Surfer S1 collect leaves, seeds, and other debris while navigating your pool with its built-in sensors.

Emptying the Basket:
Press the blue button and slide back the solar panel.
Lift the debris basket by the handle, unhook the clasp, and empty the contents.
Clean the basket with a hose, reassemble it, and slide it back into the skimmer.
