Rhens was occupied by the Celts even before Roman times and is part of UNESCO World Heritage region "Upper Middle Rhine Valley." Located only 10 kilometers/6.2 miles from Koblenz, Rhens is an adorable city and their Tourist Information Office passes out a wonderful walking map of important sights to see.
Still almost completely surrounded by old walls and gates, one of the most interesting places had to be the watchtower where people suspected of witchcraft were detailed and tortured. Nice, huh? Rhens definitely made my "Adorable and Charming" list. Other towns, that did not, are titled without a number as you will see as I continue uploading.
