In the Spring of 2017, students of Markiyan Shashkevych Ukrainian Minority Bilingual School Complex no. 2 in Przemyśl took part in the School of Dialogue program. As the first minority students to join the program, the Ukrainians from Przemyśl offered a unique perspective on the history of Polish/Jewish relations. As representatives of a minority themselves, they felt a bond with the Jews who once populated their town.
In appreciation to the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany (Claims Conference) for supporting this educational program. Through recovering the assets of the victims of the Holocaust, the Claims Conference enables organizations around the world to provide education about the Shoah and to preserve the memory of those who perished.
Project co-financed by Friends of the Forum.
