Hello there, today we are glad to introduce our new Cable wire harness kit for our 20A stainless steel PB4411 / PB4511 series.
This is a simple and neat wiring harness kit with built in LED positive jumper cable.
The kit come with 6" (15cm) long UL1015 #18 gauge cables for the main switch terminals, which is enough for carrying 20A current based on ABYC standard. And #20 gauge cables for the LED terminals, which require very little amperage of current.
The way to install it is very simple, first of all you can see there is a laser etched LED + mark with and arrow here. On the switch you will also find the positive mark of the LED + terminal. You can also identify the LED + terminal from the sides of the switches - the end with larger colored base is the positive end. Align the LED+ arrow on the wiring harness kit to that larger end and push the housing in and you are done! Simple and easy!
When connecting the powers there are two ways to do so, first connect the yellow cable to DC ground, and for the positive as you can see here, one of these two main cables goes to the DC positive and the other goes to the device it controls. If you connect the end with jumper cable to the DC positive, as you can see the LED + will always be powered and therefore the switch's LED ring will be Always ON.
On the other hand if you connect the cable without jumper to DC + and the one with jumper to the device, the LED + will be powered together with the device when the switch is turned on, so the LED ring will light up when switch is ON.
The switch contacts inside are designed for DC 12V 20A, and DC 24V 10A, however the LED is designed for DC 12V only so if you want to use this switch for 24v applications or if you find the LED ring is too bright in the dark. You can connect a resistor in series of the LED negative (yellow) cable.
It is very simply first cut the yellow cable and strip it, then solder a resistor with proper resistance and watt value, and finally cover it with heat shrink tube. Please contact our sales for proper resistor value for your application.
We can also do this for you in factory upon a volume, so you can get the cable harness kit with built in resistors right out of the factory. The Laser etching mark on the housing is also customizable so if you want you can also put your logo on it.
