As we're seeing in Ukraine, civilians are on the frontline of conflicts. The doctors behind civilianfirstaid.org who include some of our own medics, hope these war injury tutorials shared via social media will teach those on the ground simple life-saving skills.
The videos show what to do if someone is bleeding from a gunshot or sharp object such as shrapnel, has lost a limb, sustained a burn or an eye injury. They also teach how to stop serious bleeding by creating a tourniquet and how to put someone in the recovery position if they are unconscious.

The voice-over has been narrated by prominent Ukrainian TV presenter and activist Timur Miroshnychenko. They have been translated into Ukrainian and Russian. An English version has been narrated by the British TV presenter and historian Dan Snow. The hope is this will help reach civilians on the frontline.
