Nicolas Henry is a photographer who travels around the world, discovering countries and their peoples. With them, he recreates symbolic scenes of their own history and captures them in photographs.

When he goes back to India, he delves into a fascinating myth: the one of the Maharajas. Who are the descendants of these ancient rulers? On his way to Gujarat and Rajasthan, he will meet three families descended from the Maharajas, who agreed to open their doors.
