Created by The Lyceum’s experienced Creative Learning team and building on our previous and highly successful Project BFG, Project Dream, Project Scrooge, Project Narnia inspired by The Lyceum's productions of The BFG, A Midsummer Night's Dream, A Christmas Carol, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe respectively, Project Wonderland is the latest initiative as part of The Lyceum’s Creative Pathways Programme.

Project Wonderland is an innovative, interdisciplinary learning programme for children, which will engage them in a range of creative activities inspired by our Christmas production Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Our aim will be to bring the benefits of participating in a high quality arts project to over 1,000 young people who would be unlikely to have access to the arts otherwise.

Participants will determine the main themes of the play, and develop their own performance (or ‘sharing’). The project is process driven, where each young person is encouraged to have a role in determining and creating their performance, thereby ensuring we have a deep and meaningful impact on the young people and family groups that will be taking part. The promotion of cross curriculum working with creativity at its heart directly adheres to the guidelines set out by the Curriculum for Excellence. All pupils are also invited to The Lyceum to attend a workshop, tour and to see our professional production.
