(8 Jan 2017) Distraught relatives and supporters of former Iranian President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani gathered at his home in northern Tehran on Sunday to view the body of the veteran Iranian politician.
The coffin containing Rafsanjani's body was moved from a hospital to a mosque next to his house in the capital.
Rafsanjani's death was announced on Sunday.
He was 82 and is survived by his wife, Effat Marashi, and five children.
The Iranian government has announced three days of mourning, and a funeral is expected to be held on Tuesday.
