A long overdue video featuring the partial repair of a Technics SA-946 stereo receiver and the complete repair of a matching Technics SL-P230 CD player. Both were just simple repairs of cracked or poor solder joints. When I decide to fix the lighting, I'm going to try LEDs as replacements. I will probably also recap the unit at that time. There's no sense to continually pull it apart instead of just fixing everything at once.
"Solder" is one of those words that is pronounced differently depending upon where you live. So too is the "Technics" brand. Some people, myself included, say "Tech-nicks". Others say "techniques". Both appear to be correct, as Matsushita Electric used both pronunciations in different advertisements and world markets.
Also shown in this video are some graphic equalizers, including a very nice Soundcraftsmen Model 20-12A. It may be featured in a different video.
I have something else that fellow Youtuber VWestlife sent me to repair. I really need to get it finished up. To say that I've been lazy is an understatement.
