Exercise is definitely one of the most effective ways to cope with challenges in our lives. Establishing a workout regime is challenging at the best of times. But during the current flu crisis, it is even more difficult for some people - like me. It is also more complicated because we don't just need to burn calories, we need to calm ourselves! So this video talks about 2 practices that can help reduce stress and anxiety.
I do know that when I was dealing with some stressful emotional transitions in my life a few years ago I started doing yoga and found that it was a great healer on many levels. But now that we are self-isolating at home, it is also important to do some more calming exercises as well.
This video talks about introducing a couple of things that you can do to calm your nervous system and keep your heart rate calm and stress low. They are easy, don't involve any equipment except your brain! Some specific ideas will hopefully inspire you!
