This video we show you how to change out your factory lock system in your RV to a RV LOCK keyless entry system in our 2022 Rockwood minilite 2109s. As we were getting ready to film the video while we were out camping we accidentally locked all our keys inside the trailer , thus locking us out of our trailer. WE had to have our daughter come and bring the spare set of keys to finish the install.
Over we go step by step with the removal of the old factory lock system and removal of the striker plate and the new unit goes back in almost as easy ,except for the wiring harness which was a bit of a pain. It did take a little while to get the programing setup as the lock was not allowing reporting for a couple of hours of trying , but eventually worked. Since the install we have had no problems and the keypad and fab work great. So now we can rest easy that we should never lock ourselves out of our trailer.
