Sambal ikan bilis garing....here is a crunchy and dry sambal that can be stored and used anytime you want. Eat it with rice, egg, noodles and more.

ANCHOVIES...here is a crunchy and dry sambal that can be stored and used anytime you want. Eat it with rice, egg, noodles and more.
INGREDIENTS
-------------------------
250g shallots
200g anchovies
2 cloves garlic thinly sliced
20 dry chili washed and boiled
50g peanuts (optional)
1 tbsp vinegar / 1 tamarind slice
1.5 rice flour
1.5 sugar
Salt
METHOD
----------------
*Fry garlic and set it a side.
*Peel shallots wash and slice it thinly. Place the sliced shallots on tissue for 10 minutes or more
*After 10 minutes, mix 1.5 tbsp rice flour and 1/4 tsp salt and fry the shallots and set it a side
*Wash & strain the anchovies, fry the anchovies and set it a side
*Fry the chili and set it a side
2nd METHOD
-----------------------
*Coarsely pound garlic, dry chili and 1/4 tsp salt together.
*In a pan add 2 tbsp oil, Followed by chili paste and saute.
*Add in vinegar, salt and sugar. Give a good mix
*Add in fried shallots, anchovies and peanuts.
*Mix until well Combine and serve or you can store it in the fridge for longer shelf life.
