walking tour in the Moinhos de Vento park which is also known as Parcao, city of Porto Alegre, State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil
Moinhos de Vento, park whichis known as Parcão, is a green area located in the Moinhos de Vento neighborhood, in the city of Porto Alegre.
This park is located in a replica of an Azorean mill, surrounded by an artificial lake that includes fish, turtles, tortoises, geese and teals.
The Parcão also has a playground and the Maria Dinorah Children's Ecological Library, which consists of about a thousand books, including titles in Braille.
Of the monuments, the one that stands out the most is the one created by Carlos Tenius, in honor of Castelo Branco.
Porto Alegre is a Brazilian municipality and the capital of the southernmost state in Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul. With an area of almost 500 km² and a population of 1 492 530 inhabitants, it has a diverse geography, with hills, lowlands and a large lake: the Guaíba. It is 2,027 km from the national capital, Brasília.
