👋 Check out this brand new 2023 Toyota 4Runner 40th Anniversary Edition! This 4Runner has a super bold stripe is the heritage Toyota colors that really pops on the Black paint. You'll also see bronze wheels with TOYOTA written out and a bronze for all the badges. The interior get a badge saying 1 of 4040 built which is cool to see. You'll also notice bronze stitching and embossed headrests with the 40th Anniversary logo. Aside form that, this 40th anniversary 2023 Toyota 4Runner is based on an SR5 Premium and has the same standard features. Driving the 2023 Toyota 4Runner is pretty much the same as driving a 2003 4Runner! This 5th Generation 4Runner feels no different with the 4.0L V6 and 5 speed automatic. The 5th gen 4Runner and 4th gen 4Runner are early the same underneath. Lots of body roll and brake dive and it's not too responsive in power from the low powered engine and transmission. The suspension is very soft which does make this very good of road, especially with the 4X4 system. And there is a lot of room to make the 4runner very practical for people and cargo. The 4Runner is a very utility focused SUV and can be put to work! It sacrifices on road capability to be so useful, reliable and off road capable. Crazy these 4Runners are nearly $50k these days for the 2023 model year even though it's such an outdated old SUV. But it'll last forever and get the job done! The 40th Anniversary Edition is a cool appearance package and is offered in Black, White and Red. If you want some heritage like the 4Runner generations on the lift gate in a bronze decal and all the bronze accents and bright stripe, this is a cool option. I will say the 40th Anniversary is overpriced tho since an SR5 Premium costs $5k less. Can always get bronze wheel and do a decal for cheap. The TRD Off Road Premium is still a few grand cheaper and offers CRAWL control, Multi Terrain select, and the locking differential. So in general the 4Runner is worth the price, but the 40th edition seems pointless when you can get a more capable 4Runner trim for less.
