At a distance of 35 km from Bhadrachalam, Parnasala is a pilgrimage place situated at Parnasala village in the newly formed Bhadradri Kothagudem district (formerly in Khammam district) of Telangana, India. It is one of the several Hindu temples connected with Epic Ramayana, and among the must- visit place during your Ramayana Yatra Tour.
Parnasala holds a significant value in mythology. According to legend, Lord Sri Rama spent some of the 14 years of exile at this location. Parnasala is said to be the place where the evil-minded demon king Ravan abducted Goddess Sita. Another story states that this historical village is the place where Maricha was killed by Lord Shri Ram when he came in disguise as a golden deer to deceive Goddess Sita.
A small hut in Parnasala consists of the beautifully painted sculptures of Lord Rama, Sita, and Lakshman. Here, one can see Seethavagu, where the beloved consort of Rama bathed, and Naracheeralu, where goddess Sitha dried her clothes on 'Radhagutta'. The place is also known as Shoka Rama as it depicts the sorrowful mood of the Rama in his life. There are also footprints around the town depicting the traces of Lord Rama's stay. Also, there are footprints of the golden deer and wheels of Ravana's Chariot in which he kidnapped Sita.

भद्राचलम से 35 किमी की दूरी पर, परनासाला भारत के तेलंगाना के नवगठित भद्राद्री कोठागुडेम जिले (पूर्व में खम्मम जिले में) के परनासाला गांव में स्थित एक तीर्थ स्थान है। यह महाकाव्य रामायण से जुड़े कई हिंदू मंदिरों में से एक है, और आपकी रामायण यात्रा यात्रा के दौरान अवश्य देखे जाने वाले स्थानों में से एक है।
पौराणिक कथाओं में परनासाला का महत्वपूर्ण महत्व है। किंवदंती के अनुसार, भगवान श्री राम ने वनवास के 14 वर्षों में से कुछ इस स्थान पर बिताए थे। परनासाला को वह स्थान कहा जाता है जहां दुष्ट दिमाग वाले राक्षस राजा रावण ने देवी सीता का अपहरण किया था। एक अन्य कहानी में कहा गया है कि यह ऐतिहासिक गाँव वह स्थान है जहाँ मारीच को भगवान श्री राम ने तब मारा था जब वह देवी सीता को धोखा देने के लिए सोने के मृग के रूप में आए थे।
परनासाला में एक छोटी सी झोपड़ी में भगवान राम, सीता और लक्ष्मण की खूबसूरती से चित्रित मूर्तियां हैं। यहाँ, कोई सीतावगु देख सकता है, जहाँ राम की प्रिय पत्नी ने स्नान किया था, और नरचीरालु, जहाँ देवी सीता ने 'राधागुट्टा' पर अपने कपड़े सुखाए थे। इस स्थान को शोका राम के नाम से भी जाना जाता है क्योंकि यह राम के जीवन में दुखद मनोदशा को दर्शाता है। भगवान राम के प्रवास के निशान को दर्शाते हुए शहर के चारों ओर पैरों के निशान भी हैं। साथ ही, रावण के रथ के सोने के मृग और पहियों के पैरों के निशान हैं जिसमें उसने सीता का अपहरण किया था।
