If you're unfamiliar with The House in Fata Morgana, it is a fantastic, fantastic visual novel, and that's a heavy understatement. It is very emotional. Heavily. It's one of the best pieces of art - whether a book, game, movie, song, painting - that I've ever experienced. Also, if it makes a difference to you, until recently it was one of - or the only, I can't recall - the few videogames on Metacritic to have a perfect rating. Give it a try.
