This is a drivers view cab ride from Portola, Ca through Oroville, Ca, fictional Hungry Horse Lumber Company model railroad layout to the sea at the fictional port of Bay City. The trip is at track speed so it will take a bit over six hours to traverse the approximately 160 miles. Sit back with a snack and a drink and enjoy the ride.
I have one more video planned for this series which will be more of a novelty as I have recorded the whole trip from the point of view of the side view mirror on the cab of the lead locomotive. It was fascinating to watch the train follow behind around curves and over bridges as we travel along.
Trainz doesn't have ray tracing in the game yet. Not sure how they would implement that as the game is not linier in nature and very open ended. I thought about masking the side view mirror in Premiere but couldn't get the recordings to match up close enough. Enough talk. Please enjoy the show.
