The Kiama Picnic Train is back! The 2020 season ground to a halt in March due to the Coronavirus pandemic, but they are now back offering a restricted Kiama Picnic Train season.
Hauling the Kiama Picnic Train is the legendary Baldwin steam locomotive, 5917 — built in the 1950s for the NSW Government Railways.
Due to the current social distancing regulations, there will be no buffet available on the Kiama Picnic Train. Customers are welcome to bring along picnic lunches, snacks and drinks.
After arrival at Kiama, you have a few hours to enjoy the many charms of this picturesque coastal town. Take a walk up to the famous Kiama Blowhole, relax at the Surf Beach or browse the Historic Terrace Houses.
Then it's back on the train for the return trip to Sydney.
