Russia is fighting with Germany and Ukraine online again. Yesterday, Russia tweeted out “On September 17, 1939, the Red Army launched a military operation in Poland’s eastern regions, preventing the genocide of the population of Western Belarus and Western Ukraine.” Right, if you recall from history class, the Soviet Union started the Second World War on the side of the Axis. They joined forces with the Nazis to divide up Poland between the two of them, this was called the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. And Germany, who has fully repented for the sins of the war, took exception to that and had something to say. With them responding with: “seriously?” And then they attached Stalin & Hitler’s original map of Poland showing the division of the country, signed by Stalin himself. They came with receipts but then Ukraine responded to Russia with “who made a deal with the Nazis to partition Poland? Who did this?”
