Reviewing the decisions made in designing tooling for the MIT Hyperloop 2 team's carbon fiber vehicle shell. The shell was built with foam-cored vacuum bagged carbon fiber in a direct-built female mold. The goals were: cheap and fast to build while maintaining minimum weight.
