Get my free memory training tips at link above as well as find out about my Black Belt Memory course where you can earn a black belt in memory.
I teach memory training and speed reading classes so you might think my advice to you is that you should learn everything fast. That's not the case.
While I do have many courses on how to learn anything fast and I think there is a time and place for this I also want to stress what I find to be the value of learning things slowly.
There is a time to read fast and use speed reading techniques and I teach these in my courses.
But we should also devote time to learning slowly. In this video I talk about when I want to cut wood fast such as chopping down trees and when I want to cut wood slowly such as building a desk or bookshelves. The idea there is to go slow and measure twice and cut once!
I like to see knowledge as a bookshelf of knowledge and I want to add knowledge permanently to my bookshelf. I don't want to just know it today but I want to know it for my lifetime.
This requires thinking about what I learned and immersing myself in it. The rate at which you learn can be accelerated using tools such as a sharp saw or in my case memory training and speed reading. However, this does not mean that you should not slow down and measure twice and cut once.
Here is a video I did on the Mind Palace if you would like to check that out and add this to your mental toolbox [ Ссылка ]
Take your time and learn slowly!
Also don't forget the value of taking the time to sharpen your saw.
