After President Biden announced a new vaccine mandate last week that would cover millions of Americans, Republican politicians around the country have gone into revolt mode. Jim Braude was joined by Dr. Katherine Gergen Barnett, program director of family medicine at Boston Medical Center, and William Hanage, associate professor of epidemiology at Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health, to talk about the continued politicization of the pandemic by the American right, and whether a vaccine mandate in this case will be as effective as other vaccine mandates that already exist.
