Buza Bar Dubrovnik is a cliff bar which is hidden under the ancient city walls of the Dubrovnik Old Town. A bar in the cliffs right by the sea. A fantastic view of the Croatian Adriatic Sea, sunshine, the sound of the sea and cool drinks - that's exactly how you imagine your holiday to be. If you are looking for refreshment and relaxation after exciting hours in Dubrovnik/Croatia, the unique Buza Bar is just the right place. Here you can sip a drink, enjoy the view of the city walls and the open sea, and take a dip in the cool water. The only disadvantage is that you have to find the bar first 😉
To be precise, there are actually two Buža bars in Dubrovnik. Both are located on the rocks directly between the city walls and the sea and have a spectacular view. One of them has white parasols (the Bard Mala Buža at Ul. Ispod Mira 14, 20000 Dubrovnik), the other does not, or only a few (Buža Bar, Crijevićeva ul. 9, 20000 Dubrovnik). On the other hand, it is said to have cheaper beer and is considered the original Buža Bar. Well, we looked at both and ended up staying at the Bard Mala Buža with umbrellas and a great view of the island of Lokrum, as we found it somehow more relaxed.
Both bars can actually be reached through a hole in the city wall. You have to be attentive, though, because the bars are not really signposted. So it's best to walk along the city wall and then simply disappear through the inconspicuous passage on the south side of the Croatian old town. By the way: You have to walk along the bottom of the city wall and not on top of it 😉
The effort is worth it in any case! The view from both bars is truly spectacular and hard to beat. The prices, on the other hand, are a bit steep. However, if you are prepared to spend around €7 for a 0.33 l beer, you can enjoy yourself here. And if it gets too warm even in the shade of the sunshades, you can quickly jump into the sea to cool off. Suitable seating and sunbathing areas on the rocks are located directly next to the bar and café area. Please note: There are no changing rooms.
