USDA Forest Service Wood Innovations Grant Project. This is a 15 acre property with 100+ year old ashe junipers that are being removed as part of sustainable forestry with our partners, Nash Land Services. This material is normally almost always burnt or mulched in Texas. We are working to rescue the wood, offer it back to the local community through sales at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in S. Austin. All the retail profits will go 100% back to the Habitat for Humanity and Texas A&M Forest Service. Unique full circle forestry model that we are studying with support from the USDA Forest Service.
