The highest inflation in decades, the impact of Russia’s war in Ukraine on European and global energy markets, the property downturn in China, and a deteriorating global outlook have increased financial stability risks. With some assets not trading with ease and speed due to volatile prices and interest rates, this poor market liquidity combined with preexisting vulnerabilities could amplify risks in the financial system as a whole.
