Today, 10 March, 2014, His Highness the Aga Khan delivered the 88th Stephen A. Ogden, Jr. '60 Memorial Lecture at Brown University, Rhode Island.
In this remarkable and broad speech, the Aga Khan delivered his most detailed observations about technology to date. In particular, the impacts it is having, and can have, on individuals, on human relations, on society and on world affairs. He also discusses, amongst other topics, the vital role civil society will can and will play in mankind's future and warns that "diversification without disintegration is the greatest challenge of our time."
