Size limits will be imposed on active mobility devices that are road-legal, following recommendations from the Active Mobility Advisory Panel. Such devices include cargo bicycles, cargo tricycles, rider-only tricycles and recumbent bicycles. They can now only be up to 1.3 metres wide and up to 2.6 metres long. These limits are based on trishaws and tandem bicycles -- the widest and longest active mobility devices currently used in Singapore. Other recommendations include adding flags on poles for recumbent bicycles for better visibility, and having dedicated passenger seats on cargo bicycles.
