What does a realistic training day look like for a full time professional athlete? What do we actually do all day? Here is a typical day...My 24 hours is spent figuring out how to get better, every moment of the day my head is occupied by how to become the best version of myself. Each decision, even as small as a meal choice, alters how I will be in the next session, or tomorrows session or how I recover... how I will feel, how my body will adapt or cope. Even the thoughts I have throughout the day or in specific moments will impact my performance in sessions. Each decision I make through the day impacts every micro moment during my performance in training and in competition.. it's a 24 hour job, you don't ever switch off, But that is what makes it so fun.
Training has definitely ramped up this last couple of weeks! We have been training at altitude ready for the World Championships in Mexico! It has been a fun adaptation to training and challenged me both physically and mentally. I love it!
