Former New South Wales treasurer Michael Costa says Climate Change Minister Chris Bowen is probably the “worst salesman” to prosecute the case against nuclear.

Opposition Leader Peter Dutton announced the Coalition’s nuclear plan at a media event on Wednesday.

“I think this is strategically very clever by the Opposition,” Mr Costa told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio.

“At least now we have a debate over energy versus cost of living.

“Chris Bowen is probably the worst salesman ever to prosecute the case against nuclear energy.”
