The sperm whale or cachalot or scientifically called Physeter macrocephalus is the largest of the toothed whales and the largest toothed predator.
This mammal’s length is up to 20.5 metres or 67 feet and weighs about 57,000 kilograms or 56 long tons and 63 short tons.
Amazingly it can live over 70 years.
It can deeply dive into the sea about 10,500 feet or 3,200 meters that makes him the deepest diving mammal. What is fascinating is the Sperm whale can hold its breath for about an hour.
The sperm whale’s huge brain weighs about 20 pounds or 9 kilograms and considered as the largest brain of any animal on earth.
