The Equality Court sitting in the High Court in Johannesburg is expected to hand down judgment in Afriforum’s civil case against the EFF and its leadership. The lobby group wants the struggle song “Kill the boer” declared hate speech, and for the EFF and its leader Julius Malema to be found in contempt of court. Afriforum says the singing of the song incites violence and promotes farm killings.
