An inclusive transition - engaging young people, women and other vulnerable workers and communities in capacity development efforts - is integral for the climate action necessary to limit warming to 1.5 °C. Countries can do much more to prioritize green skills development and a Just Transition. Upcoming NDC 3.0 submissions are an opportunity for countries to prioritize these issues within long-term planning for a sustainable future that leaves no one behind.
Cohosted by the NDC Partnership, WRI, and ILO, this webinar highlighted key insights and country experiences related to integrating a Just Transition and green skills development into their NDCs. It will also examine steps that the Partnership can take to support countries in raising their ambition for these topics within NDC implementation, updates and enhancement.
