Today’s batteries are held back by their inability to fast charge safely. Although graphite and silicon anodes in batteries allow high energy density cells, it is still unsafe to fast charge them.

Supported by the #FaradayBatteryChallenge, #Echion has developed a new #battery anode material capable of delivering a unique combination of fast-charging, safe, and long cycle life batteries suitable for use in a range of applications.

Echion’s niobium based anode material, XNO® enables cells to safely perform a full fast charge in 6 minutes, more than 5 times faster than standard Li-ion cells.
