Riots continue to rock the Portuguese capital of Lisbon for the second consecutive day. The unrest erupted after the police shot dead a 43-year-old black man in the early hours of Monday, who reportedly attacked them with a bladed weapon. According to police, the shooting victim had fled and crashed a car after seeing a police vehicle. When officers approached, he tried to attack them with a blade, before being shot and dying in hospital, the statement added. Anti-racism groups have questioned the official version of events. As per the authorities, three people have been arrested for the violence, with two policemen and two others injured.
