T'puram: The LDF and UDF are observing the first anniversary of demonetisation as black day on 8 November. As part of this, various organisations organised protest meets all over the state. Meanwhile, the BJP came out in support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who announced the financial reform. The state wide protests led by both the UDF and LDF were centred around central government offices like the Reserve Bank of India, AG's office and important post offices. In the protest programme organised at Kozhikode beach by the UDF, the effigy of Modi was sent floating in the sea.
