Today while ice fishing at Bear Point Fish Hut Rentals on Kempenfelt Bay, Lake Simcoe, we had a special visitor. This juvenile bald eagle was swooping into the area to pick off discarded bait and other peoples fish on the ice. I was able to get the GoPro set up by a discarded bait pile and capture some amazing shots of this beautiful bird in the process. Eagles are not very common in the Barrie area, or Southern Ontario for that matter, so this was a very neat experience and I'm thrilled to have gotten such great footage of this raptor.
