Brian Walshe, charged with the murder of his wife who has been missing since New Year's Day, searched online for ways to dismember and dispose of a body, prosecutors said at a Wednesday arraignment.
What's new: Assistant District Attorney Lynn Beland said Wednesday it was DNA evidence on a pair of slippers, clothes and a tyvek disposable suit that led investigators to believe, "Brian Walshe dismembered and later discarded" his wife's body. Walshe has pled not guilty.
What to know: Brian Walshe, 47, already was in custody and held on $500,000 bail after pleading not guilty to misleading investigators searching for his wife. Walshe also was on probation pending sentencing in a 2021 wire fraud case in which he was convicted of selling fraudulent Andy Warhol paintings.
