The founders of Quiet Ensemble, Fabio di Salvo and Bernardo Vercelli met around 12 years ago and found common ground in their collective inspiration from nature, technology and the underlying principles that tie the two together.
Their latest work "Vertical Horizon" which was exhibited at the Noor Riyadh Festival, symbolically cut the planet in two, entering the ground in Riyadh and emerging in Rome. The art installation captured everything from vibrations of the ground, body heat of people in close proximity and nearby sounds. Each element transformed in real time into colourful digital liquid that mixed together in an imaginative palette of the senses.
The aim of the artwork was to reflect on the idea that everything is connected, viewers on one side seeing the vital energies of the audience on the other side of the planet.
