On this episode of Sailing on a Whim, we venture to the other side of the barrier reef for some offshore fishing in a sailboat! We spend the day learning the basics of offshore fishing from experienced fishermen and enjoy a beautiful day in the Bahamian sunshine to catch our dinner. We were so excited to finally cross this experience off the never-ending list!

This crazy adventure started in early 2018 as we started researching learning how to sail, buy a boat, outfit her, and take off for a life on the open seas. There has been a huge learning curve trying to make all of this happen and we want to share with you everything that we have learned and have some fun along the way.

We are excited (and a little nervous!) to share this journey with you. We hope that you learn a little from our experiences and maybe inspire you to make changes to live the life you want!
