Learn how to use, upload photos to, and learn from the powerful iNaturalist database and become a citizen scientist.
Calling all nature lovers and citizen scientists! Do you want to learn how you can use nature photography to contribute to a provincial citizen science initiative, the BC Parks iNaturalist Project? Join us while we will explore iNaturalist, a global biodiversity database and social networking tool, and discuss how and why you should be using it.
Our speaker Kate McKeown is the iNaturalist Project Coordinator with BC Parks and is a new WBT volunteer! Kate finished her undergrad at UVic in the spring of 2020 and worked as a field assistant for the BC Parks iNaturalist Project during the summer. Over the last few months, she has been implementing improvements for the iNaturalist Project and preparing for the 2021 field season.
