The communities of Naledi and Franschoek near Ficksburg in the eastern Free State are living in fear. They have been victims of stock theft in recent months. But it is the brutal murder of one of their own that shook the communities. Emerging farmer Molefi Ralebenya was murdered in May this year. Police are still searching for his killers.
