Dark purple core and hue. Layered nose showing some oak and oak derived notes of smoke, vanilla, clove and cinnamon with wild berry notes, sweet plum and a herbaceous spiciness. Dense but fresh palate with layers of crushed berries, dry spices, a hint of oak, pepper, youthful texture but no hard edges, a great length and tremendous potential for further ageing.
