It’s been months since COVID-19 testing has been the topic of conversation in the pandemic with the push for higher vaccination coverage now the main goal of public health officials. But as industries and education sectors reopen, many workers are being given the option to get tested weekly instead of rolling up their sleeves for a shot.
Tuesday, officials announced 1,758 positive cases and 22 new deaths. Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 975,737 cases in the state and 27,101 confirmed and probable deaths.
